Delivery ceremony of Tan Cang 66 tugboat at Song Thu Shipyard

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tri – Director of TCM expressed his honor when receiving tugboat Tan Cang 66 timely. He shared: “After officially putting Tan Cang 66 into operation, TCM fleet will include a total of 9 tugboats, of which 3 are built by DAMEN: Tan Cang 99 (6800HP) which is considered the most modern tugboat in the region, Tan Cang 86 (5600HP), and Tan Cang 66 (5100HP) built by Song Thu Shipyard under the supervision of DAMEN”.

Tan Cang 66 is a highly maneuverable, high-performance environmentally friendly tug. Thanks to its flexible operation, the tugboat can operate at seaports, near-shore and offshore areas. After putting Tan Cang 66 into operation at TC-HICT port, TCM tugboat fleet might ensure the safety of towing services and improve the working productivity at the port.

In the future, TCM hopes to continue cooperating with DAMEN to deploy more tugboats with a view to contributing to a Hai Phong "green port" which is in line with the city's development direction.
