TCM Towage service for Dai Hung 01 drilling rig
After the maintenance period at Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company (DQS), Dai Hung 01 oil and gas exploitation rig was towed by TCM in coordination with Dung Quat Shipbuilding Industry Company (DQS) to leave DQS's dock.
Dai Hung 01 drilling rig is equivalent in size to a standard football field, 108.2m long, 67.36m wide, 68.6m long main deck, 21.3m draft maximum, total tonnage of 9,880 tons.
This is an important rig in the development and exploitation of Dai Hung area. When Petrovietnam reclaimed the field, it had grown into an oil field that contributed 15,000 barrels of oil a day to the country.
Dai Hung oil rig was assisted with 6 tugboats. The ropes are as large as the biceps which fixes the rig by the two high power tugboats. Four other tugboats have the task of "clamping" in 2 sides to locate and fix the movement of the rig toward the impact of waves and ocean currents.
The cargo ships and oil tankers on Dung Quat sea area became small toward the appearance of a giant project Dai Hung 01. This is not only the semi-submersible rig, but also one of the rigs with the highest life expectancy in Vietnam
