Tan Cang Northern Maritime JSC (TCM) and Haiphong Port Tugboat and Transport JSC signed a cooperation agreement on the operation of Azimuth tugboats in the Lach Huyen Deepwater Port area, Hai Phong
The Lach Huyen Deepwater Port area plays an important role in connecting maritime traffic, being the gateway to the sea for provinces in the North Vietnam. Hence the operation of container terminals in the Lach Huyen Port area will contribute to completing the goals in the strategy for developing Vietnam's maritime economy, making an important contribution to the industrialization and modernization of the country. With the position of a deepwater port, Lach Huyen is currently serving ships with a tonnage of up to 145,000 DWT, so tugboats serving in this area must ensure capacity and quality in accordance with the seaport regulations and the requirements of ship owners.
Recognizing that importance, on November 15, 2024, Haiphong Port Tugboat and Transport JSC and Tan Cang Northern Maritime JSC signed a cooperation agreement on the operation of Azimuth tugboats. This event also aims to materialize the comprehensive cooperation agreement in the field of maritime transport, seaports and logistics in Vietnam between Vietnam Maritime Corporation and Saigon New Port Corporation. With the tugboat capacity of the two parties, this will be a cooperation that brings higher operational efficiency, helps improve service quality, meets the needs of customers in Lach Huyen area and affirms the competitive position of the two companies in the market.
The signing ceremony took place successfully with the witness, companionship and support of Tan Cang Offshore Services JSC, Haiphong Port JSC, and Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal Co., Ltd.
