On 31/10/2022, TCM is honored to accompany Hai Phong Tan Cang International Container Terminal successfully handled the maiden call of WAN HAI A07 – the first 13,100 TEU vessel operated by Wan Hai Lines.

TC-HICT in Lach Huyen port area is the largest modern deep-water port in the North, capable of receiving and operating container ships with a tonnage of up to 132,900 DWT going directly to the US and Europe.

Wan Hai A07 is an operating vessel of Wan Hai Lines that directly connects Vietnam with the West Coast of the United States, belonging to the AA3 service route operated by Wan Hai Lines with the rotation as follows: Hai Phong (HICT) – TCIT – Hong Kong – Yantian – Xiamen – Long Beach – Shekou.

With an overall length of 335 meters, a width of 51 meters, a draft of 16 meters, and a maximum cruise speed of 22 knots, the WAN HAI A07 is currently one of the largest vessels in the fleet owned by Wan Hai Lines. This is also the largest vessel ever to call TC-HICT.

With the capacity and experience to handle big vessels and the great support and coordination of Pilots, Tugboats (including the support from TCM’s tugboat fleet), and Port Authority, TC-HICT has successfully received Wan Hai A07.

Receiving vessel with a tonnage of up to 13,000 TEUS is a breakthrough for TC-HICT as well as for Hai Phong area in the seaport operation. This event helps Hai Phong take one step closer to becoming an international transshipment port in the North region.
