TCM attends Trade And Investment Promotion Program Between Denmark And Hai Phong City In The Offshore Wind Power Sector
In the context of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam - Denmark diplomatic relationship, on November 2nd 2022, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark paid an official visit to Hai Phong City and attended a trade and investment promotion event in terms of offshore wind power here. The visit aims to promote cooperation in two main areas: renewable energy development and energy efficiency.
This promotion program had the attendance of 22 large Danish enterprises with extensive experience in the offshore wind power field, along with Vietnamese enterprises who have an interest in offshore wind projects supply chain, including Tan Cang Northern Maritime JSC (TCM).
During the conference, the delegates exchanged knowledge and shared experiences to move towards a sustainable future using renewable energy in which offshore wind energy has strong development potential in Hai Phong City. It also witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on Hai Phong – Esbjerg (Denmark) cooperation in the field of offshore wind energy.
Possessing a favorable geographical position, with a 125 km coastline, a wide sea surface, along with the synchronous development of transport systems, seaport infrastructure, supporting industries and services, Hai Phong in the future could be powered by offshore wind. The mayor of Esbjerg city (Denmark) shared that Danish major companies show interest in potential offshore wind power projects in Hai Phong and he looks forward to this cooperation.
Having attended the event, being enlightened about strongholds of Hai Phong in the development of large-scale offshore wind power projects and greeted Danish major companies in wind power as well as potential Vietnamese companies within the region, TCM envisions becoming involved in the offshore wind power supply chain and contributing to realizing offshore wind power dream in Vietnam and particularly in Hai Phong for the foreseeable future.
