Tan Cang 99 Tugboat Welcomed The Leaders of Haiphong City People's Committee, Damen Shipyards Group and 189 Shipbuilding Company

With the honor of being the first Vietnamese enterprise to receive the commercial ship of DAMEN Shipyards Group to Vietnamese customers, on this occasion, TCM welcomed the delegations on the ship Tan Cang 99 including:

Tan Cang 99 tugboat, which Damen handed over to TCM in April 2022, is the largest and most modern tugboat in the world. Tan Cang 99 can operate flexibly and has high turning performance. Thanks to being equipped with the FiFi1 system, the tugboat could serve to tow at seaports, escort, prevent oil spills, fight fires on the sea, and serve offshore activities.

In addition, TCM delivered another newly built tugboat Tan Cang 66 in August 2023. The investment in new tugboats aims to increase capacity and modernize the operating capacity of TCM's tugboat fleet, ensuring safety for operations of vessels berth and unberth Hai Phong port area, as well as ensuring the performance of rescue work, oil spills prevention, and firefighting at sea. Furthermore, that the tugboats Tan Cang 99 and Tan Cang 66 are designed to reduce NOx emissions meets IMO Tier III standards and contributes to building a "green port" in the Hai Phong port area.

The meaningful visit of the leadership team, especially the presence of Mr. Kommer Damen - Chairman of Damen Shipyards Group, showed their interest in the newly built tugboat market in Vietnam and the cooperation between the two businesses in the future.
