Welcome Japanese destroyers visit Hai Phong
Two destroyers from Japan, namely Suzunami and Shimakaze, led by Captain Yanagihara Makoto, Commander of Training Division 1 of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (MSDF), docked at Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) on February 29, beginning their visit to Hai Phong city from February 29 to March 2,2024.
The visit of the Japanese ships contributes to enhancing mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation between the Vietnamese and Japanese defense ministries, as well as between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. During their stay, the Japanese delegation will engage in exchanges with leaders of the Hai Phong Municipal People's Committee and the Naval Region 1 Command of the Vietnam People's Navy. The Japanese naval officers and sailors will also visit various cultural and historical sites of the city.
